Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms govern access to the website, browser diagnostics, command-line responses, public API and diagnostic-sharing features offered under the IPRapid brand at iprapid.com (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service provides

The Service can report the public IP address observed for a connection; look up an IPv4 or IPv6 address submitted by a user; show approximate network, ASN, ISP, timezone and geolocation data; test first-party IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity; and compare browser-side WebRTC, DNS, timezone and language signals. It also provides JSON, plain-text, ANSI and scalar responses for scripts and terminals.

Users may create a signed diagnostic link containing only coarse status values. The link expires after 24 hours and is not a live or historical measurement. All results are general informational and diagnostic output, not proof of identity or exact location and not legal, security, financial, medical or emergency advice.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only lawfully and without harming the Service or others. You must not:

• attack, overload, disrupt, scan or attempt unauthorized access to the Service or another system;
• circumvent rate limits, access controls, address-family restrictions or other safeguards;
• use results to harass, track, discriminate against or make a high-impact decision about a person;
• submit unlawful material or violate privacy, intellectual-property or other rights;
• present IP, location or diagnostic output as proof of a person's identity, residence, conduct or precise physical location.

4. API and automated access

Public endpoints may be called without an account or API key within the limits returned in response headers. The versioned /api/v1 endpoints provide the documented v1 JSON contract. Convenience and compatibility endpoints, content negotiation, optional colour output and other non-versioned formats may evolve while preserving reasonable compatibility. Clients must handle documented errors, missing values, 429 responses and Retry-After.

We may throttle, reject or temporarily block abusive or unusually heavy traffic. No quota, endpoint, response time, address-family route or format is guaranteed unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

5. Accuracy and interpretation

IP ownership, ASN, ISP and geolocation records can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. A displayed city or coordinate can describe a network gateway far from the device; the accuracy radius is an uncertainty estimate, not a promise. IPv6, DNS and WebRTC results depend on the browser, resolver, VPN, proxy, firewall, path MTU and network configuration. “Unknown” or “unavailable” does not mean pass or fail.

6. Availability and changes

The Service may be changed, suspended or discontinued, and maintenance, data-source issues or network faults may interrupt access. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a service-level objective, preservation of lookup history or compatibility with every client. Versioned API changes are managed separately from convenience endpoints where reasonably practical.

7. Ownership and third-party data

The Service software, presentation and original materials are protected by applicable rights. Third-party datasets, marks and software remain subject to their own notices and licences. Data-source attribution displayed by the Service forms part of these Terms. These Terms grant only a limited, revocable right to use the Service and do not transfer ownership.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, loss of data, profits or opportunity, or decisions made from Service output. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited only to the extent permitted by mandatory law.

10. Enforcement, changes and disputes

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, comply with law, investigate abuse or enforce these Terms. We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version and changing the last-updated date. Continued use after an update means acceptance where permitted by law. Mandatory consumer protections and the jurisdiction of competent courts are not displaced. Contact us before filing a dispute so we can try to resolve it.
